Creating something says you can stretch yourself.
Consuming something says you're comfortable where you are
But by staying where you are, you actually go backwards.
Creation is a way of expressing yourself, in a way that you can't with words.
Consumption is just the same old same old.
Creating looks for the different perspective. And makes something beautiful from it.
Consuming sees a difficult situation and says, "I can't do anything with this."
Creation shows that you aren't afraid to take risks.
Consumption plays it safe.
Creation isn't sidetracked by the approval or disapproval of others.
Consumption must be accepted to find significance.
Human nature tends towards consumption. We must push ourselves to constantly expand our boundaries, to create, to explore... or they will close in on us until we feel that we can't move anymore. Creation is a necessity.
